It is already known that India will be facing Pakistan in the upcoming game of the ongoing Asia Cup tournament, which is scheduled to be played on September 14.
Ahead of this game, an interesting petition has been filed at the Supreme Court of India, and this has something to do with the possible cancellation of this game.
According to the latest reports, a group of four Law students had filed a petition at the Supreme Court demanding to cancel the upcoming India versus Pakistan game. Their argument is that India and Pakistan are not on good terms and there are also prevailing tensions between the two countries.
However, the Supreme Court rejected urgent hearing of this PIL. It was further clarified by the apex court that the arrangements and the logical conclusions were drawn already and the game must go on.
With the Supreme Court rejecting the proposal to fast track the hearing, the match will go on as per schedule as it is supposed to as well. There will be no change in the scheduling or the possible cancelation of the game either.
