Hyderabad Car Number Craze: 9999 Sold for Rs 25 Lakh

Telugu people are generally known for their belief in numerology, and this reflects in the fact that vehicle registration numbers are often sold for record prices in Hyderabad. A similar trend was observed this year as well, and here is a look at the staggering prices paid for car numbers.

Incidentally, the Hyderabad Road Transport Authority has earned a significant amount of money through the auctioning of fancy numbers.

As expected, there was substantial demand for the 9999 series, which is largely desired by the wealthy community in the city.

Reportedly the Hyderabad RTA earned an impressive Rs 63.7 lakh from special numbers while the trademark TG09 G9999 fetched Rs 25.5 lakh. This fancy number from the 9999 series was featured by the Hetero medical group for substantial price quoted above.

Apart from that other fancy numbers have also fetched a reasonably good amount of money and here’s a look at the same.
