Brilliant Gesture: Vizag Stadium Gets Mithali Raj Stand

It is already known that Mithali Raja is one of the most prominent female cricketer produced in Indian cricket, and she is a proud daughter of the Telugu states.

Now the Andhra Pradesh government has found a brilliant way to reward Mithali for her significant contribution towards Indian cricket.

IT Minister Nara Lokesh communicated today that a stand in the famous Vizag International Stadium has been named after Mitali Raj. The Andhra Cricket Association will rename a stand at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam after the incomparable Mithali Raj.

Along with that, a gate will be named after Kalpana Ravi, recognising quiet pillars who have strengthened the foundations of our sporting ecosystem.

Mithali Raj is a proud exponent of Cricket from the Telugu states, but there was always a complaint that she is one of the undervalued players in Indian female Cricket. This void is going to be filled by the new stand that’s going to be named after her at the Vizag stadium.
