India’s First Fully Mobile, AI-powered Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle Unveiled

A Hyderabad-based defence tech company on Wednesday unveiled ‘Indrajaal Ranger’, the nation’s first Anti-drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV), which would add strength to the India’s border defense strategy.

The fully mobile, AI-enabled drone system is engineered to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones while AI-enabled system capable of detecting, tracking, and neutralising hostile drones even while in motion.

Unlike traditional vehicle-mounted anti-drone systems that function only when stationary, the Indrajaal Ranger operates in real time on the move, offering autonomous threat assessment, instant interception, and real-time patrolling, which is necessary in view of the increasing sophistication of cross-border threats.

The company developed the ADPV as many recent incidents showed drones as a primary channel for illegal activities. Recently, ISI-linked outfits smuggled weapons deep into Indian territory and several Pakistani drones were also neutralized highlighting the need for the ADPV.

Indrajaal CEO and Founder, Kiran Raju, emphasised the mission behind the innovation. Each drone neutralised translates to lives protected and India’s internal security strengthened. This is our primary mission at Indrajaal – to defend freedom, he said. The Ranger is expected to deliver a transformative layer of national security.
