Company Fires 550 Indians, No Calls, IDs Disabled!

Some of the biggest companies in the world, including Microsoft, Google, Meta and others have been firing their employees at every aggressive pace. The situation is particularly detrimental with smaller companies, which have been enforcing strict layoffs as well.

We have the case of a foreign company named Innodata which has done something extremely shocking with its employees here in India.

The first sign that something was wrong within the company came when reports began circulating that the company’s Philippines team, including team leads, operational managers, and quality experts had been fired during a Zoom call.

Subsequently, some workers in India then checked the company’s HR portal and found that their payslips had been generated. The portal showed October 26 as the official date of resignation and the last working day.

In the end, it was identified that 550 of the company employees in India were fired on telephonic calls. They did not receive any HR emails or communication before firing. Their company IDs were simply blocked from access and they could not work within the organisation.

Reportedly, even the managers had no idea of what was happening as several of these employees were terminated in a span of few minutes without any prior communication.

This is the state of affair with several smaller companies in the IT sector in the domestic Indian market as employees are advised to be extremely cautious of their expenditures due to the prevailing market.
