What Now! Richest Man Musk Donates 900 Cr, But…

The richest man in the world by a fair distance, Elon Musk, who operates multiple elite companies like Twitter(X), SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla and others has made a significant donation right before the closing of 2025 year. 

It is established by the United States tax authorities that Elon had donated over hundred million dollars in Tesla shares to charity organisations on December 30, 2025.

This roughly converts to around ₹900 crore in Indian currency and it certainly is a generous contribution from the richest billionaire in the world towards the righteous cause of charity. 

This is a part of the year end tax planning that Elon does every year, and there is not much of a surprise if you look at the kind of donations that he had made in the past as well.

In 2024, Elon had donated $112 million to charity while the number goes up to $1.95 billion in 2022.  This number hit a new peak after Elon had donated a $5.7 billion in 2021.

The interesting thing here is that Elon donate the entire money to charity, not in the form of liquid money, but in the form of Tesla shares. This is a part of his tax planning regime that he follows every year.

Considering the fact that Elon has a net worth of over $650 billion, this contribution or donation of hundred million dollars, might not sound in the larger picture.
