It is already known that a section of the Indian population had been largely sceptical and apprehensive about the petrol and diesel prices due to the prevailing situation in the Middle East.
If the ongoing conflict in Iran continues, there is a significant chance that the prices of petrol and diesel could shoot up sharply in the next few days. On that note, the Indian government has categorically confirmed that there are adequate oil reserve for the next 25 days and there is no immediate worry.
But this is not stopping the general population from speculating about the oil prices, and there is this one particular Indian man that has taken matter into his own hands.
According to a video that is going viral on social media now, an Indian man from Punjab has bought as many as a thousand litres of petrol in a water tank. The individual reportedly procured the fuel fearing that petrol prices could go up soon.
Whether the video is recent or an old one is still unknown, but it is now going viral again because of the current situation.
The video of the individual fill his water tank with petrol at the petrol station is now going viral on social media and people have a wide range of reactions to the same.
While this might be a cost-effective, measure to safeguard himself from petrol price hikes, storing such large volumes of highly inflammable petrol in a water tank is an insane amount of risk, argue social media users.
