Several restaurants and hostels in metropolitan cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru have already communicated that day are restricting operations due to reduce in the supply of commercial gas.
Now the issue has reached Andhra Pradesh as well, and the latest development are suggesting that the state witness a temporary halt in Swiggy and Zomato operations.
Apparently, the Hotel Association of Andhra Pradesh has collectively decided to hold the operations on Swiggy and Zomato till the gas supply is restored.
This is a desperate measure taken by the Hotel Association to prioritise customers who are coming into the hotels and physical outlets. The additional load of Swiggy and Zomato is bound to backfire in this current situation where the commercial gas supply is already plummeting.
Considering the fact that a significant section of the population consistently depends on Swiggy and Zomato for food delivery services, this decision by the Andhra Pradesh Hotel Association comes as a rude shock.
If this decision of collectively deciding against Swiggy and Zomato extends to Hyderabad, then all hell and break loose as the food supply across the city could be largely cut down.
