One of the biggest developments in connection with the upcoming season of IPL 2026 has unfolded today, and this is not a pleasant news for fans in general.
According to the latest developments, it is being established that Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has been one of the hallmark place in the IPL is going to miss the first two weeks of this season.
Reportedly Dhoni has undergone an injury to his leg, and he is currently recovering from this calf sprain. While he continues on this road to recovery, he is confirmed to miss the first couple of weeks of the season.
Dhoni will be available to play the reminder of the tournament once he recovers on time. Fans will have to wait till the second week of April to get a glimpse of their favourite batsman play for the iconic Chennai Super Kings franchise.
In the absence of Dhoni, who happens to be one of the biggest superstar in the IPL, the new recruit of the team, Sanju Samson will get all the spotlight for the next couple of weeks. This is going to be a good welcome to this, extremely talented wicket keeper batsmen.
Previously, Dhoni was the only choice for the wicketkeeping position in the team, but that is not the case now as Sanju Samson is more than capable of the job and he will certainly make good in Dhoni’s absence.
