Over the last few years, the judicial system is facing a very peculiar scenario as the changing nature of romantic relationships of the current Gen Z folk is posing a question to the conventional judicial process.
In the recent past, we have seen the Allahabad court say that a wife can claim the financial benefits from her father in law in case her husband dies. The same court stated that the wife is not required to tend to her parents-in-law either.
While there has been a lot of discussion and debate happening on the judicial rulings on modern relations, the Telangana High Court has put out an interesting verdict.
Telangana High Court stated that any failed romantic relationship which might have had a promise of marriage involved cannot be treated as a case of cheating. It was added that only a relationship that was built on the disguise of marriage, right from the outset can be regarded as cheating.
This is a crucial reaction to the recent cases where couples have been claiming that their partners are cheating in relationships and calling for criminal prosecution on them. This rolling wood rightly put legal speed breaker for the same as the evidence of this case of marriage needs to be established from the outset which is an elaborate process.
Back in the day, the courts only had to deal with divorce cases and relationships after marriage. But now, due to the changing preferences of romantic relationships before marriages, the courts are having to set a new precedent almost on a monthly basis.
