For the last few weeks, Hyderabad has been facing relentless municipal Corporation action with regard to food, safety inspection as several hotels are being exposed for their lack of hygiene.
On top of this lack of hygiene, several restaurants have been facing complaints of food adulteration, and we have a shocking addition to this list, which concerns non vegetarian eaters.
According to the latest reports on social media, 2 individuals named Mohad Osman & Mohd Jahangir were detained after officials uncovered a racket involving the mixing of beef with mutton for supply to hotels in Hyderabad.
Apparently this beef mixing operation was carried out in the limits of the Habibnagar Police Station in Mallepally. The detained individuals were later handed over to the Habibnagar Police for further legal action where a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
This group had been mixing beef meat with mutton in order to enhance their profits, considering that the price of beef is much cheaper when compared to mutton. This meat was supplied to several hotels across Hyderabad in order to pump up the profits.
It just turns out to be that several hotels which were under this group had been serving beef along with mutton to their customers who are not aware of what was happening.
Needless to say, this was a major cause of concern and panic for several patrons of these hotels across Hyderabad and their worst nightmare has turned to reality now.
