After 30K Layoffs, TCS Hires 9,000 Employees

TCS has made a strong comeback in hiring after cutting thousands of jobs over the past year. India’s biggest IT company added more than 9,000 employees in the April to June quarter, signaling renewed confidence despite global uncertainty.

The company is now focusing on hiring professionals with skills in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital technologies. Along with new recruitment, TCS is also upgrading the skills of its existing workforce to meet changing client needs.

While the IT sector continues to face pressure from slow global spending, companies are shifting their hiring strategy. Instead of large scale recruitment, they are looking for talent with specialized technology skills.

TCS’s latest hiring shows that demand for skilled professionals remains strong. The company is betting on AI and digital transformation to drive future growth, even as the industry adapts to a new hiring pattern.
