A gruesome incident shook Rangareddy district’s Daivalaguda village recently. A man allegedly murdered six people, including his own wife and two children, in a revenge attack linked to a POCSO case filed against him.
The accused, Raj Kumar, had been booked under the POCSO Act in May after a minor girl’s family accused him of harassment. He was later released on bail and allegedly held a grudge against the family for filing the case.
Police said Raj Kumar first entered the victim family’s house and allegedly killed the minor girl, her mother and grandmother with a knife. He then returned to his own house and allegedly killed his wife, three year old daughter and two year old son.
After the murders, Raj Kumar reportedly called his parents and confessed that he had killed six people. He is also believed to have told them that he would end his own life, prompting them to alert the police immediately.
Senior police officials, including Cyberabad Commissioner Tarun Joshi, rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. Special teams have been formed to trace the accused, who remains absconding.
