Hyd Techie Enters Temple Naked, Jumps Into Pond With Ammavaru Idol

The mysterious death of a young software engineer in Hyderabad has shocked people in Peerzadiguda, Medchal district. The incident, which happened late at night, has left police searching for answers after a series of unusual events ended in tragedy.

Tejaswini, was living with her mother in a rented house in Peerzadiguda. According to police, CCTV footage showed her running naked towards a nearby Ammavaru temple during the night. Investigators say she entered the temple, removed the idol of the goddess along with the saree covering it, and left the premises.

When locals noticed that the idol was missing, they began searching the surrounding area. Their attention soon turned to a nearby pond. At the pond, they found the saree floating near the steps. A short time later, Tejaswini’s body was recovered from the water. However, the idol has still not been found.

Police shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem examination. Disaster Response Force teams have also joined the search operation in the pond to recover the missing idol, which investigators believe could help them understand what happened.

During the investigation, police gathered details about Tejaswini’s background. She was a software engineer who had worked in Bengaluru before returning to Hyderabad around six months ago. Her family belongs to Devupalli village in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district. Her father is employed at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. She and her mother had recently moved into a rented house in Peerzadiguda.

Police also spoke to her family members. According to her mother, Tejaswini had been facing severe psychological distress for the past six months. She was reportedly troubled by repeated nightmares and disturbing dreams, which had become more frequent in recent months.

Investigators are now trying to determine whether her mental condition played a role in the incident or if there were any other factors involved. Officials are examining CCTV footage, speaking to witnesses and waiting for the postmortem report before reaching any conclusions.

A suspicious death case has been registered, and the investigation is continuing. Police have urged the public not to speculate until all facts are established.

A sea of fans, a grand atmosphere and powerful messages about Indian cinema marked the massive pre-release event of Ramayana in Hyderabad. The scale of the gathering reflected the excitement surrounding the epic. Yash, who takes on the formidable role of Ravana, delivered an impassioned address urging the Indian film fraternity and audiences to support ambitious projects that aim to take the country's cinema to the world. Beginning with Telugu cinema's remarkable international journey, he pointed to Baahubali and RRR as examples of what Indian filmmakers can accomplish with vision and determination. “Rajamouli, Prabhas, Tarak, and Ram Charan have all played a significant role in this journey,” Yash said, acknowledging the contribution of Telugu cinema's leading names to India's growing global recognition. He observed that the Hindi film industry, too, is looking to build a stronger connection with audiences across South India. According to him, the way forward lies in collaboration, mutual respect and an exchangeof affection between different film industries. Yash reserved his strongest words for producer Namit Malhotra, whose determination to realise Ramayana on an unprecedented scale convinced him to become part of the project. Yash admired director Nitesh Tiwari's organised approach and ability to treat everyone on set equally. Hedescribed the contrast between the simplicity and divinity of Lord Rama's portions and the dark nature of Ravana as an important aspect of the film. He called Sai Pallavi's portrayal of Sita Mata special for its grace, devotion and motherly warmth. PraisingRanbir Kapoor, Yash said that playing Lord Rama was a tremendous responsibility because audiences already have a deeply established image of the character. “Ranbir has done a fantastic job, and I hope everyone gives him the…
