Kaziah Liz Mejo is the new Miss Universe India 2026. The 19 year old from Kerala won the national crown at a grand finale held in Jaipur.
Kaziah is originally from Mavelikkara in Kerala’s Alappuzha district, but she grew up in Abu Dhabi. She is currently studying law in Bengaluru and is also a model.
Her journey in the beauty pageant world started at a young age. Kaziah won the Miss Teen Diva 2024 title and later became the first runner up at Miss Teen International 2025.
In 2026, she won the Miss Universe Kerala title before moving on to the national competition. She eventually defeated 52 other contestants to win the Miss Universe India crown.
With the national crown, Kaziah now has an even bigger challenge ahead. She will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe competition, which is scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico in November 2026.
India has already won the Miss Universe crown three times through Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and Harnaaz Sandhu. Now, all eyes will be on Kaziah as she aims to bring home India’s fourth Miss Universe crown.
