In a span of 24 hours, Telugu states witnessed two major road mishaps. Yesterday, a private travels bus rammed into a truck near Suryapeta and killed 6 passengers.
Today morning, another terrible road accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district resulted in the death of seven people and left several others injured. The incident took place late at night near Pasumarru village close to Chilakaluripet, on the national highway.
Report suggest that the accident took place when a private travel bus heading from Vijayawada to Tirupati hit an auto-rickshaw carrying 15 passengers.
All the victims belonged to Veluru village in Chilakaluripet mandal. They were returning home after attending a birthday celebration in Kondamanjuluru village of Bapatla district.
The impact of the crash was so severe that four people died right at the scene. Three more succumbed to their injuries while being rushed to nearby hospitals. Local police registered a case and started investigating the incident.
