This Raksha Bandhan, the Cyberabad Police turned the recovery of lost mobile phones into a memorable celebration for several people.
As part of the initiative, the police handed over mobile phones recovered through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) system to their rightful owners. The Cyberabad Police also shared a video showing the phones being returned to the people who had lost them.
The happiness on the faces of the owners was clearly visible as they received their phones back. For many, the recovery came as a pleasant surprise and added a special moment to the festival.
The initiative is being seen as a welcome step that helps build a stronger connection between the police and the public. Such efforts show that police work is not limited to crime prevention and law enforcement, but also includes helping people in everyday situations.
By returning lost phones to their owners, the Cyberabad Police have given a positive meaning to the idea of “friendly policing.” Acts like these can help bring the police closer to the public and build greater trust.
A simple initiative, but certainly a commendable one. Well done, Cyberabad Police.
