What Now! Jaguar Land Rover To Cut 4000 Jobs?

Land Rover is one of the biggest luxury car manufacturers in the world and they have the super luxurious SUV line of Range Rover, which is extremely popular amongst star celebrities.

Despite the strong reputation and the association with one of the biggest companies in the world, Tata, Jaguar Land Rover is facing a problematic situation at the financial level.

The latest updates are suggesting that Jaguar land Rover, which is partly owned by Tata is preparing for significant job cuts amounting to at least 12% of its workforce in the United Kingdom.

Jaguar Land Rover, owned by Tata Motors, is planning up to 4,000 redundancies, which is nearly 12% of its 34,000-strong UK workforce as it targets £1.7 billion in cuts over two years.

The cuts are expected to be weighted toward management and research roles rather than production staff. The majority of these cuts will be associated with the workforce in the United Kingdom, where many of these cars are actually manufactured.

Despite the fact that Range Rover is one of the most selling luxury cars in India and other parts of the globe, it appears that the parent Jaguar Land Rover company is facing financial stress. Cutting more than 12% of the jobs in the United Kingdom is not ordinary and it reflects the complications in the current job market.
