Jobs Gone? Medical Changes? Elon Musk’s Prediction On AI!

United States president, Donald Trump has officially signed an executive order that rename artificial intelligence as super intelligence. This is partly due to the fact that he feels artificial intelligence has an artificial sounding so he wants to rephrase it as super intelligence.

At a related event that was held in the United States today, Trump spoke to the Media along with other market leaders, including Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, Amodei and others.

At this event, Elon musk made a very interesting prediction about the kind of impact that AI could be having on our lives.

Musk thinks that by far the most likely outcome is an age of abundance where people don’t have just universal basic income, we have universal high income.

“Maybe it’s worth talking a bit more about that. When you have robots and you have super intelligence, it means that everyone in the world can have better medical care than anyone here, including me”, Musk said.

This was followed by an important comment from Elon regarding the job culture as AI has been resulting in insane human layoffs. He said the task is going to become easier for the human workforce, and also for the corporate companies.

There used to be buildings full of people doing calculations, but now digital computers to do those tasks. I don’t think anyone is pining to go back and do calculations all day to do bank interest rates, which is what they used to do, Musk said about the jobs aspect.

Elon feels that the job market is going to undergo transitions like it used to in the past as well, but there will be multiple advancements. He is of the opinion that the medical field is going to witness significant progress too.
