In a sad news to report, a 25 year old Andhra Pradesh boy committed suicide in New Delhi on Monday afternoon. The victim, a UPSC aspirant, has been identified as Alta Bharat Kumar Reddy. He ended his life in a rented room in Old Rajinder Nagar which is a famous coaching hub for civil services students.
The Police received an emergency call around 2:30 PM on Monday afternoon after neighbours suspected something wrong inside the locked flat. When they reached the place and opened the door, they found the young student hanging from the ceiling fan.
Reportedly, the victim belonged to a simple farming family in Andhra Pradesh, where his father works in fields and mother is a homemaker. He was living in Delhi for two years to prepare for civil services exam and was staying with a roommate from Lucknow who was away to his home town.
The police team recovered a handwritten suicide note from the room during their search. In that note, the Andhra boy mentioned that he was suffering from heavy depression because of his studies and exam preparation.
Police have informed his family members back in Andhra Pradesh, who are completely broken by this sudden loss.
