Going by the news reports, an arrest warrant was issued against Donald Trump in connection with the killing of an Iranian general and a powerful Iraqi militia leader last year.
A judge in Baghdad’s investigative court has passed the verdict in probing the Washington-directed drone strike that killed Gen. Qassim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. Both of them were killed outside the capital’s airport in January last year.
Al-Muhandis was the deputy leader of the state-sanctioned Popular Mobilization Forces. Soleimani headed the expeditionary Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps. Trump was charged with premeditated murder and if he gets convicted, it will be a death sentence.
