Adult star Poonam Pandey has been booked and arrested by the Mumbai police for violating the lockdown norms. Going into details, Poonam had gone for a ride at Mumbai’s Marine Drive in her luxury car for no reason.
The police had been holding a search at one of the check points near Marine Drive and Poonam was caught in her car. When the police questioned why she was out, Poonam did not have a proper reason. An FIR was registered against Poonam under sections 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of a disease dangerous to life) and 188 (Disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under provisions of the National Disaster Act.
The Mumbai Police also arrested the person who was accompanying Poonam in the ride. The car of Poonam was also seized and the police would take further matter to the court.
This is a clear case of negligence by a celebrity.
