Lord Ganesha Pendant In Naked Photoshoot: Rihanna In Fresh Controversy

International singer and pop-icon Rihanna tweeted her support for Indian farmers’ protest days back and it turned sensational. Many other foreign celebrities came in support of Rihanna and started supporting the ongoing protests in India. The ‘similar’ tweets from many Indian celebrities, Greta Thunberg’s toolkit controversy, and the recent arrests of Disha Ravi are known to all. While the supporters of BJP and the farm bills have breathed fire against Rihanna in their tweets, here is a fresh controversy from the pop-icon for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

Rihanna in her latest photoshoot posed naked but was seen wearing some ornaments and one of them is a long chain with ‘Lord Ganesha’ pendant to it. Rihanna shared it on her Twitter account. The image was clicked for her lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty. She appeared in a purple bottom wearing none on the top but with her arms around the chest.

Rihanna wearing Hindu deity Lord Ganesha pendant and posing nude with her lingerie brand promotion has not gone well with many. She wrote, “when @PopcaanMusic said “me nuh wan ya wear no lingerie tonight fa me girl” @SavageXFenty.”

It went super viral and the picture was criticized for being disrespectful towards Hindu deities. BJP leader Ram Kadam called the post ‘Appalling’ saying how Rihanna is mocking the Hindu gods.
