Cricket Australia Puts Conditions To Players In IPL

Cricket fans across the world are gearing up for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. We hear that the tournament will begin towards April end this year. IPL is a two months cricket carnival in India. Many brands use this league for their promotions. However, there will be some restrictions on brand promotions this time, from the side of Cricket Australia (CA).

The Australian Cricket Board has put some conditions on its players who are participating in the league. None of the Australian players should feature in advertisements promoting alcohol, smoking, betting and fast food brands, that come on any medium like TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, Internet or On-pack advertising.

CA also stated not more than one player from a Big Bash League (BBL) team or a state team can be used for any kind of advertisements. Almost 19 Australian players are going to take part in this year’s IPL. BCCI sent the CA’s guidelines to the board of IPL.
