The cute and chirpy actress, Alia Bhatt’s long-awaited flick Gangubai Kathiawadi gets a new update. The ace filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s productions have posted a new poster of Alia from the film on Twitter and was unveiled just released ahead of the teaser launch. The teaser will release on the occasion of Bhansali’s birthday and this film is his 10th directorial.
The new poster shows Alia in an unprecendended look, clad in white ethnic wear and big attractive red bindi. She is seen sitting relaxedly upon the throne where she will play the role of the infamous Mafia queen. Her body mannerism certainly portrayed the uproar superiority of the character. The Bhansali Productions handle tweeted the new poster and captioned, “Fiery and feisty, she’s ready to reign! Celebrating the man, his vision and 10th directorial, #GangubaiKathiawadi. Teaser out today. In cinemas on 30th July, 2021.”
Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s book named Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Alia will be playing the role of a woman, Gangubai Kothewali. The film can be of vast scope for Alia in terms of showcasing her versatility and fans are immensely looking forward to the film.
Talking about Gangubai’s life story, she was sold to prostitution after a trap by her lover during her young days and she will later transform into a reigning supreme as a popular boss of a brothel in Kamatipura. Along with Alia, the film also features, Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Huma Qureshi. The film is produced by Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada.
