IPL 2021 May Begin On This Day

The annual cricketing carnival Indian Premier League is all ready to come up with its new season. The 14th edition of the tournament will begin in less than two months. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, this new season is all set to roll on April 11.

As per the sources, BCCI and IPL management are planning to hold this season for a period of more than 50 days. Mumbai and Ahmedabad are being considered for the match venue locations. However, the rise in COVID-19 cases may force the management to shift the matches to some other location. There will be 56 matches in the league stages and four matches in the playoffs. The final may be held either by the end of May or in the first week of June.

The mini-auction of this season was held a couple of weeks back. South African all-rounder Chris Morris created a record by becoming the most expensive player in the history of IPL auction. We will get an official announcement about the schedule of this season very soon.
