March 8th happens to be International Women’s Day and every year this day is celebrated as social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Marking this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Saluting our indomitable #NariShakti on International Women’s Day! India takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of our nation. It is our Government’s honour to be getting the opportunity to work towards furthering women empowerment across a wide range of sectors.”
Taking a cue from this hero Vishnu Manchu pledged a major reshuffle in the leadership of his education institute Vidyanikethan which is a reputed one in both the Telugu states.
“Today is Women’s Day. Starting today all colleges and schools under @IVidyanikethan will have only women as class representatives. Within 6 months, I aim to have 70% leadership positions held by women,” tweeted Vishnu and he concluded it by saying it is his commitment.
This is a welcome move and for sure Vidyanikethan will fly more high in the coming years.
