Inspiring video: Why These Rich Kids Washing Cars

The lockdown has observed a spike in charitable work, philanthropy and not-for-profit organizations in order to help needy and vulnerable communities. In a pertinent context, a few students from top schools in Mumbai like Bombay International and Champion are rightly utilizing their time during this lockdown to raise money for charity.

The video which is going viral on social media now for all good reasons shows students washing parked cars. After watching the video, one would definitely say that this is the real meaning of education. As we see, the lockdown has the majority of cars parked at the apartments with a lot of accumulated dust on it. And since no maids/domestic help are allowed at the moment, the cars are left as it is with nobody to wash the idle cars.

Observing this, a few smart kids decided to clean the cars in their society and raise some money for charity. It is reported that these students have already collected 30K plus and have dedicated this amount for the benefit of “Martyrs of Kashmir”. Actress Raveena Tandon was one among firsts to bring this noble work into the light. She wrote that she is proud of these children. Netizens also lauded the children for their smart move.

The video is a short film made by the students and they named it as “Steer-A-Change”. It shows young and genius children working hard and diligently washing a Renault Duster and Honda City. It gives overwhelming feel that students from well-settled families have strode in to do such physical labour for charity purpose. Good job and hope this video inspires many young generations in the lockdown.
