Apart from the frontline workers and COVID warriors, the food delivery agents should also be appreciated for all the work they have done during these pandemic times. To appreciate their efforts, popular food delivering app Swiggy has decided to provide vaccination to all its delivery executives for free.
Yesterday, Swiggy’s official Twitter handle tweeted, “From essentials to food, delivery partners have always been our lifelines. We’re happy to announce that we’re supporting 100% of the vaccination cost for our entire delivery fleet and that this entire drive will be facilitated by us to keep them and you safe. #DeliveringHope.”
Apparently, Swiggy has asked the authorities to prioritize the delivery partners during the vaccination drive. It seems that these costs will cover the loss of pay for the period the delivery partner spends in getting both the doses. It is indeed a good move from the management and netizens are appreciating them for the same. Many people also hoped that the rest of the food delivering apps follow this move and help their delivery boys in getting vaccinated.
