The country has been witnessing huge number of Coivd-19 cases over the last few weeks. Both the Telugu states, Maharashtra, Gujarat and a few others states are hit severely hit by the second wave and the respective state governments were left with no other option rather than to impose restrictions.
Maharashtra was the first state to announce lockdown during the weekend and later Uttar Pradesh state brought in night curfew. Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh followed them.
These curbs are showing impact on migrant workers. In cities like Mumbai and Pune, migrant workers presence is in lakhs. Fearing another lockdown, these labourers have once again hit back to their native places.
