There has been a sudden spike in active covid19 cases in Telangana as the state has reported a total of 3,052 new Covid-19 cases, 778 recoveries and seven deaths in the last 24 hours. And the health experts are forecasting a further rise of cases in the second wave.
The active cases on March 1 were 1,907 and within a month, by April 1, there were 6,159 cases. And today, we have 24,131. According to the State Health Department on Tuesday, the total count of Covid-19 cases in the state has increased to 3,32,581 including 3,06,678 discharges and 1772 deaths.
It is reported that after the Telangana government sought disbursement of the vaccines from the Union government, the state has received nearly 4.60 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses, As per the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare, the state received 2 lakh doses of Covaxin and 2.60 lakh doses of Covishield on Monday night.
In Andhra Pradesh, the cases have continued to increase from the past couple of weeks with 4228 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. This takes the total tally to 932892 cases.
