Good News For Freshers: 1 Lakh IT Jobs in 2021

India’s top IT giants such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys and HCL Tech are all set to hire more than one lakh freshers in 2021 and it is indeed a piece of good news for students who are graduating this year. These companies have been planning to accessorize 45% more employees this year compared to the previous fiscal year. The plan is expected to sustain until FY22. 

TCS and Wipro are also offering salary hikes and bonuses for their employees besides their busy hiring spree. Talking in particular, Tata Consultancy Services is said to be hiring 40000 freshers on board in FY22 to increase its employee count above 5 lakh. Similarly, Infosys and HCL Tech are planning to hire 26,000 and 12,000 freshers, respectively. In FY21, Wipro had hired around 9,000 freshers. Work from home and remote workers became the new normal for the corporates along with the professionals where digital skills took centre stage.

There has been a significant rise in the hiring process among IT companies ever since the lockdown started last year and the IT sector Is now making extraordinary progress in recovering the jobs lost during the crisis. Wipro’s CEO, Thierry Delaporte, stated that an increased focus on digital operations is driving the momentum. Most of the companies global wide are investing in new-age technologies to accelerate their digital transformation and get ready for fruitful careers in the future.
