Kane Williamson is an X-factor for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has been a match-winner for his side in many instances of IPL. The fact of him being present in the middle-order boosts the confidence of players, management, and fans as well. SRH played its first three matches of this season without Kane and lost them. Finally, they brought him back for the fourth match and won it.
Kane was rested in the first three games as he was recovering from an injury. After three straight losses, fans pressurised the franchise to bring back Kane. Even the management thought he will be the only saviour for them to handle the fragile middle-order. As soon as he recovered completely, Kane was brought back into the team today in the match played against Punjab Kings.
Punjab posted a very low score of 120 after batting first. SRH got a good opening stand of 73 runs while chasing this total. After Warner got out, Kane came into the crease and gave good support to Jonny Bairstow. Both of them made a partnership of 48 runs and handed over a nine-wicket victory to SRH. Kane made 16 runs off 19 balls in this chase. Even though his strike-rate is low, Kane ensured to stay in the crease till the end. However, his presence itself proved lucky for SRH and fans are now hoping that his charm will continue in the upcoming matches as well.
