World Record Second Day: 3,32,730 New COVID-19 Cases

Reporting the World Record for the second straight day, India recorded 3,32,730 new Covid cases and 2263 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours. Amidst Oxygen woes and lack of beds, the startling increase in the Covid-19 cases are posing a great threat. This is despite after states imposing strict restrictions over public movement and imposing night curfews and weekend lockdowns.

Of the 17,40,550 samples tested, 3.32 lakh positive cases reported. With the latest addition, the cumulative count of Covid cases stood at 1,62,63,695. The total death toll touched 1,86,920. The total active cases of Covid in the country is pegged at 24,28,616 which is also highest so far.

The total recoveries in the last 24 hours were 1,93,279. The cumulative count of recoveries was 1,36,48,159.
