Indian Cricketers Should Take Only COVISHIELD

Published by

With the suspension of IPL, BCCI is now concentrating on the upcoming WTC final which will be held in England. Already, Team India’s squad for this tour is announced and it is now being reported that the players will have an option to get vaccinated during their stay in England.

Team India will be staying in a bio-bubble at the Rose Bowl in Southampton while they are on this tour. Apparently, they have to stay in a one-week quarantine in India before leaving for England and will have to stay once again in quarantine for 10 days after reaching Southampton. It is being heard that the Indian players will leave in the last week of May as the IPL is suspended.

Some Indian players and support staff already got vaccinated recently. Now, they get their first dose or even a second dose in England. They will be vaccinated with the OxfordAstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, which is being sold under the name of COVISHIELD in India. It was originally developed in the United Kingdom.

Head Coach Ravi Shastri got vaccinated in March when India was playing the bilateral series against England. Recently, Ajinkya Rahane also got vaccinated along with his wife. Some other players are expected to get vaccinated before leaving for England. Players who are not vaccinated may opt to get it done in British lands.

WTC final will be held between India and New Zealand from June 18- June 22.
