Reliance Industries has come forward to lend its helping hand to the family of deceased employees who have succumbed to Covid-19. The company has announced that it would offer a full salary for five years to the family of deceased employees.
RIL also assured to pay 100 percent of the tuition fees, hostel accommodation and book fees upto Bachelor’s degree at any institution in India. Besides this, the company will also bear 100 percent payment of premium for hospitalisation coverage for spouse, parents, and children (below their bachelor’s degree).
The company also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the grieving family members of all the off-role employees who died of Covid-19. Nita Ambani, chairperson, Reliance Foundation, announced the same.
“Some of us are struggling to cope with the deeply painful loss of our precious colleagues, family members, and loved ones who have succumbed to COVID-19. Reliance stands with each one of you in this hour of grief,” Nita Ambani said.
Meanwhile, Reliance group has offered special Covid-19 leave for colleagues affected by COVID-19 personally, or within the family. They can avail for the full duration of their recovery – both ‘physically’ and ’emotionally’.
The company said that this leave is to ensure that the affected employees focus on recovering fully or caring for their COVID-19 positive family members.
It can be noted that Reliance has already come forward to vaccinate all eligible employees and their family members under company’s cost.
