Viral Video: Long Queue For Covid-19 Vaccine at Hitex, Hyd

India’s vaccination drive is not picking up as anticipated yet there is a mad rush to take the jab. In Hyderabad, private hospitals are given permits to roll out the vaccine and accordingly big corporate hospitals are hosting vaccination drive.

A leading hospital in association with Cyberabad Police has organised a vaccination drive at Hitex in Hyderabad. A web portal link is also provided to enrol for the vaccine and hundreds of people did get their names registered.

As a result, people turned up in large numbers at Hitex on Friday morning. A video of the long queue is being circulated on social media and the queue almost encircled the entire Novotel hotel compound.

With the vaccination drive being controlled by the Cyberabad Police, people in queue followed strict social distancing and inside the hotel, chairs are arranged with 3 metres distance.

However, not many counters are put in place and this has resulted in a long queue. If a couple of more counters are deployed, there would be more scope for people to receive the vaccine shot and time would have been saved.
