Former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin has received a rude shock from the Apex Council as he was removed as President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). This twist came almost two years after Azhar was elected as President of HCA. On September 27th, 2019, the Hyderabadi cricketer got elected as President of HCA.
But in a shocking thing, the Apex Council met this evening and this is for the first time that the Apex Council has terminated a President. Citing the pending cases against him, the Apex Council took this decision and it has suspended the membership of Azhar and also served notices to him.
Well ever since Azhar became President of HCA things were not going smoothly. Members of HCA accused Azhar of taking unilateral decisions without consulting the panel and so many members have ganged up against him.
Coincidentally the Apex Council meeting and Azhar termination came at an interesting time. We are yet to hear Azhar’s first reaction to his termination.
