From time immemorial, elevators have been dangerous for kids. The elevator rides are adventurous for the toddlers, but least do they know about the risks that come with it. Earlier, we have seen many terrifying cases of elevator accidents, especially with kids involved in it. Today, another case in China shows a spine-chilling video of a two-year-old girl alone in an elevator, being dragged up in the air.
The video shows the tiny tot in the elevator without any adult beside her and she has a leash attached to her hand. The girl pressed the buttons and while the doors closing, the leash was caught between the elevator doors and she gets dragged up in the air and hangs there for about a minute. The video was indeed scary and painful, however, the elevator goes into an emergency halt mode and saved the girl.
Netizens were shocked to see the video and it was relieving in the end that the girl was all fine. But, what comes to the discussion is that children should never be left alone for an elevator ride. Children often lose their strength, coordination and balance. One user on Twitter wrote, “It’s incredibly impressive that the elevator detected the situation and went into an emergency halt!! Cheers to the engineers.” “Omg! Parents and guardians must be very careful about their kids, who are so curious, active, and vulnerable,” wrote another user.
