It is already known that Iran is witnessing a public protest of the highest order as people are taking to the streets against the current administration and calling for a complete overhaul. While the common public is taking to the streets, the administration is utilising the military and police force to nullify the same.
Meanwhile, the latest international media and Local iranian media reports are suggesting that as many as 12,000 people have been killed by the Iranian security forces in the last two days itself.
According to the Editorial Board of Iran International, at least 12,000 people have been killed so far by security forces in ongoing anti-government protests in Iran. They are calling it the largest massacre in recent Iranian history. Reportedly this mas killing primarily happened over two consecutive nights, last Thursday and Friday, January 8 and 9 respectively.
Iran International stated that the statistics are based on information received from one source close to the Supreme National Security Council, two sources in the Office of the President.
Along with that, eyewitness accounts and families of the deceased, field reports, data related to medical centers, and information obtained by doctors and nurses in various cities across Iran are compiled to assess the number of deaths.
