Amid heightening global tensions due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia because of escalations between Israel and Iran, USA president Donald Trump recently announced a temporary ceasefire for five days when he claimed that positive negotiations are underway. This development gave a sigh of relief for people across the world.
Now, Trump revealed another big news. He said that Iran has agreed not to develop a ‘Nuclear Weapon’ and further stated this assurance is a crucial breakthrough in the ongoing peace talks between the both sides. He made these claims during his recent media interaction and hinted that a deal with Iran is likely to be closed very soon.
“I don’t want to say in advance, but they’ve agreed they will never have a nuclear weapon,” announced Trump. He also said the US received a “present” from Iran worth “tremendous amount of money.”
While Iran is yet to respond on Trump’s latest claims, the statement comes in the wake of rising fears within the public across the globe that the war might result in unleashing of potential nuclear bombing by either sides which might cause huge destruction on all counts.
Many countries are already facing the consequences of war due to soaring fuel prices and shortage of natural gas due to the restrictions by Iran over Strait of Hormuz. So, any further escalation will result in more harm and usage of nuclear weapons could result in irrevocable damage and might trigger a World War.
From the past few days, Trump has been making optimistic comments despite the continued attacks between Iran and Israel even after US forces stepped down from the war. For now, there is no fear of any nuclear bombing and signs of complete de-escalation appear bright.
