Generally, the European countries are known to have pretty chill and moderate climatic conditions. But things have changed drastically over the last few weeks with extreme heat waves hitting several major European countries.
Temperatures have climbed above 40°C in Germany, Italy, Spain, and France. Plastic traffic lights are warping, while roads are softening, cracking, and even splitting under the relentless heat while the public is panicking.
The damage is already disrupting traffic, forcing road closures and contributing to a growing number of accidents.
The shocking effects of the heat wave in Europe is so very strong that Paris alone has reported over 109 deaths due to the extreme heat conditions till now and the number could go up further.
People across European countries are rushing to general stores to grab air, conditioner and fans in order to beat the heat wave which is resulting in out of stock boards.
In the Netherlands, authorities are spraying water on steel bridges to cool them down and prevent heat-related damage as extreme temperatures grip the country.
This is already turning out to be one of the most distressful heat waves of the century and the public is having interface the front of this nature’s might.
