Bimbisara Trailer: Kalyan Ram’s Adventurous Time Travel

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is back with a bang. This time he has come up with an adventurous Time Travel movie which has historical fantasy. The trailer begins with the introduction of Bimbisara, a cruel and dreaded emperor of Digarthala kingdom.  Bimbiasara utters the dialogue, “Ikkada Rakshasudayinam, Bhagavantudayina, Ee Bimbisarudu Okkade!” And in another dialogue he mouths, “Bimbisarudantene Marana Sasanam!” Catherine Tresa is seen in a brief glimpse in the trailer.

Cut to the present 2022, a guru tells the baddie that Bimbisara will arrive from the past and he will open a Nidhi and the time will act as the bridge between the both. This sets the tone and mood of the film. How Bimbisara travels into the present and how does he fights the baddies form the crux of the story. What are the backstories behind these raise curiosity. The last shot of the trailer raises the expectations bar further.

Debutante director Vassishta seems to have done pretty impressive job. Chirantan Bhatt (Gautamiputra Satakarni fame) and MM Keeravani’s music elevates the visuals. However, relatively weak villain and how the Computer Graphics would pan out has to be seen. Bimbisara is all set for theatrical release on Aug 5, 2022.
