BRS chief and former CM KCR seems to be finally emerging from his two year political dormancy which ensued the humiliating defeat of his party in the 2023 elections when Congress party snatched power with a slender majority.
According to the latest reports, KCR has finally returned to his residence in Hyderabad Banjara Hills from Yerravalli farm house on Sunday evening ahead of the much discussed winter Assembly sessions which will kick off from Monday. This is the first time in two years that KCR has permanently moved to Hyderabad residence.
It is most likely that KCR will attend the house in the capacity of Opposition leader and take part in high-decibel discussions on Krishna and Godavari River waters, irrigation projects and other crucial issues pertaining to the state over the next few days. It will be a big political showdown involving both Revanth Reddy and KCR for the first time after the change of government in the state.
Largely confined to farm house all these months, KCR recently hinted at a resumption of his political activity when he held a joint meeting of BRS Legislature Party and State executive committee at Telangana Bhavan on last Sunday afternoon.
This has given rise to speculation in political circles over his attendance during the upcoming Assembly sessions. His arch-rival Revanth Reddy also threw a big challenge at him to come to assembly and discuss about issues.
Now, the political atmosphere in Telangana is likely to reach tipping point with KCR turning active again. The BRS is likely to train its guns towards Revanth Reddy’s government over its two year performance and might resulted in heated arguments from both sides in the house.
