YCP Worried About Bill Gates’ Snacks Bill!

Andhra Pradesh witnessed a significant experience yesterday as Microsoft founder, Bill Gates toured Amaravati capital city for several hours. He was briefed by chief minister Chandrababu on several topics, including RTGS, agricultural practices, WhatsApp governance and others. 

The purpose of this visit is that the Andhra Pradesh government will be seeking adequate support from Bill Gates through the Gates foundation, which carries out philanthropic activities globally. 

While such substantial progress is being established in this regard, the opposition YSR Congress has a completely contradicting approach to the same.

YCP Ex MLA sat in front of the media and asked the government to publish the expenditure on Bill Gates trip to Amaravati. “How much money did the government spend on the tea, samosa, snacks, and red carpets that were laid for Bill Gates.” The YCP leader questioned. 

“What good is Andhra Pradesh going to witness through this Bill Gates trip? How much money did the government spend on his flight tickets, hotel room and dining bills? All of this data must be presented to the public, and they must explain what is going to benefit Andhra Pradesh through this trip” he added. 

On one hand, YCP faces complaints of lacking in bringing investments to the state and even scaring many away, the NDA government is progressive and bringing the likes of Google, Microsoft, Infosys and TCS to Andhra. And out of all the good things that are happening, YCP is now questioning the tea and samosa costs of this Bill Gates trip.

The last time Chandrababu and Bill Gates collaborated, a potentially groundbreaking Microsoft campus came to Hyderabad. And now great things are expected to happen in the future with regard to this Amravati trip as well. But YCP has a completely different argument on the same and the lack of poltical expertise is blatant here, an observer commented.
