Big News: US and Iran Agree to End the War, Deal Sealed!

In a major diplomatic breakthrough that will offer a huge relief to the ongoing West Asia crisis, the USA and Iran have reportedly agreed to stop their military operations with immediate effect and sign the peace deal to restore normalcy.

Following intense diplomatic negotiations brokered by Pakistan under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, both the USA and Iran have committed to stop their war activity across all fronts, including in Lebanon. This announcement was later confirmed by US president Donald Trump through his social media post.

This announcement comes days after heightened regional tensions due to repeated violation of ceasefire agreement by either sides in the last few days which seemed like transforming into a full blown war. The peace deal is expected to be formally signed in Switzerland on June 19.

The biggest respite comes in the form of Trump’s announcement regarding immediate measures related to maritime activity in the Gulf region. He confirmed that Strait of Hormuz will be reopened fully to commercial shipping and also ordered the immediate removal of the US naval blockade.

This is the first instance of mutual agreement to a full fledged peace deal between the warring nations ever since the start of war in February this year. Even though several talks took place in the course of these four months, no proper deal could have reached, leading to resumption of military activity in the Middle East.

Now, all eyes will be on the historic day when the deal will be officially signed. If the commitments agreed upon during these diplomatic negotiations completely get implemented through official signing, it might put a permanent end to the war.

The war has already impacted the global markets due to which the oil and natural gas prices have been surging every now and then in the last few months. Any further escalation would have made the situation even more worse. For now, the latest announcement comes as a big relief to not just USA and Iran, but for many countries that are suffering the consequences of the war.
