Will Jagan Consider Ayyanna’s Wise Advice?

Andhra Pradesh Assembly Rainy Season session begins tomorrow (Aug 17). YSR Congress is once again boycotting the session, demanding ‘Opposition Leader’ Status for Jagan Mohan Reddy.

On this occasion, Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu stated that if Jagan attends the Assembly, he would take the responsibility of ensuring ministers provide answers on various issues, including the DSC.

He advised Jagan to come to the House and raise questions instead of making reckless remarks on the streets. He also questioned how he could grant the status of Leader of the Opposition without the requisite eligibility.

YCP seems to have a problem with this statement of Ayyanna.

They are saying that the Speaker is making irresponsible comments while in a Constitutional Post and are reminding him how normal youth revolted against the Modi Government and brought them to their knees on the NEET Paper Leak issue.

Its true that not all issues can be resolved in the Assembly and sometimes, people can bring governments down. But then, there is a stark difference between DSC issue and NEET Paper Leak.

The DSC issue is a manufactured issue of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh but NEET Paper Leak movement was led by commoners.

When an issue is born in the people, it automatically gets the support of the Public and that will lead to pressure on the Government.

When an Opposition is trying to push an issue without the support of the Public, the Government does not feel the pinch.

In such case, attending the Assembly and questioning the Government is a good option. So, Ayyanna gave a good advice to the Opposition but it is a different topic that they would not take it.
