After having lost the power in the 2024 election, Jagan had been completely away from the active level of political infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. He had been primarily staying at his residence in Bangalore while paying very little attention to the ground level activities here in AP.
In the last 30 months, Jagan did not sit for a protest even once in Andhra, nor did he hold any massive public event to stand with the public. Even his interactions with his own party leaders were confined to one way communications.
But finally, Jagan appears to be showing some courage and actual intensity to stand by his own YSR Congress.
For the first time after the 2024 election, Jagan is staying back in Andhra and holding a conference on a Sunday. This is against his usual principle of going back to Bangalore in the weekends while returning to Andhra on a weekly basis.
There was a lot of criticism against Jagan for his tenacity to go back to Bengaluru in the weekends no matter what happens in Andhra Pradesh. He appears to be addressing this by staying back this Sunday and speaking about the local elections.
Jagan is addressing multiple topics, including the alleged abuse of power in the local election in the ongoing conference and there’s a degree of fire associated with him on the same.
This is the level of integrity that YCP cadres had hoped from Jagan since the 2024 election, and he finally appears to be delivering on the same.
