Sandeep Reddy Vanga has opted for a new release date for his upcoming film Spirit. The Prabhas starrer, which was earlier scheduled to arrive on March 5, 2027, is now set to release on October 29, 2027.
While the decision may disappoint fans who have been eagerly waiting for the film, the revised date gives the makers additional time to complete production and post production work without unnecessary pressure.
The postponement is reportedly linked to delays in Prabhas’ other film Fauzi. With both projects involving the same lead star, the changes in their release plans appear to have affected the overall schedule. Spirit is now targeting the Diwali holiday window in 2027.
Interestingly, Ramayana Part 2 is also scheduled to arrive around the same date. If both films release in the same window, it could lead to one of the biggest box office clashes in Indian cinema. The Hindi belt, in particular, could witness a massive clash between two highly anticipated projects.
Meanwhile, Fauzi is reportedly eyeing a March 5, 2027 release. With multiple big ticket films lining up for 2027, the coming months will be crucial for finalising release plans.
