Suriya To Remake Soorarai Pottru In Hindi

Suriya’s last release Soorarai Pottru (Aakashame Nee Haddura in Telugu) remained one of the memorable hits in the actor’s career.

Though it opted for a direct digital release, the film got a stunning response from the viewers and remained one of the most-watched Indian films on Amazon Prime Video. Now, this movie is all set to be remade in Hindi.

Suriya’s 2D Entertainment will bankroll the project along with Abundantia Entertainment, Sudha Kongara, who helmed the original, will also direct the remake version as well.

Announcing the remake, the official handle of 2D Entertainment tweeted, “We are thrilled to announce that #SooraraiPottru is being made in Hindi! Thank you for your love and support! #SooraraiPottruInHindi.”

Soorarai Pottru is based on the life of Deccan Airways founder Captain GR Gopinath. It featured Aparna Balamurali as the female lead. Paresh Rawal, Mohan Babu, and Urvashi have played other important roles in it.

The rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be announced. According to the Bollywood reports, star heroes like Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, and Akshay Kumar are in consideration to reprise Suriya’s role.
